About the role
A pure-backend role for someone who loves the craft of designing durable APIs, well-shaped data models, and reliable background workers. You will work on services that process real customer money and stay up under load.
Expect careful architecture, thoughtful code review, and a real emphasis on observability, testing, and incident learning.
What you'll do
- Design and build ASP.NET Core APIs and background workers (hosted services / Azure Functions)
- Model complex domains in EF Core; write and review non-trivial SQL
- Design idempotent, resilient integrations with third-party APIs (payments, KYC, comms)
- Own service health: metrics, dashboards, alerts, runbooks
- Participate in on-call rotation for the services you build
- Contribute to the internal .NET playbook and shared libraries
What we're looking for
- 4+ years shipping production .NET / C# services
- Strong SQL, transactional thinking, concurrency awareness
- Experience with message brokers (Service Bus, RabbitMQ, Kafka)
- Comfort with Docker, CI/CD, and cloud deployment (Azure preferred)
- You have written or maintained a real integration test suite
Nice to have
- Experience with Dapr, MassTransit, or similar orchestration
- Contributions to open source .NET projects
- Fintech / payments domain experience
