About the role
Join a squad building high-throughput Node.js services and their consumer UIs. You will design APIs that serve millions of requests, implement resilient data models, and ship the front-end features that expose them — all in TypeScript.
We favour boring, well-tested technology and small deployable services. You will pair on architecture, review PRs with care, and take pager rotations for the systems you own.
What you'll do
- Design and build Node.js APIs (Fastify / Express / NestJS) with a strong bias for correctness
- Ship Next.js features across App Router — server components, streaming, ISR
- Author SQL migrations and evolve PostgreSQL schemas thoughtfully
- Add tests that run in CI on every PR (Vitest, Playwright)
- Instrument services with structured logging + metrics (OpenTelemetry)
- Perform code review that leaves the codebase healthier than you found it
What we're looking for
- 4+ years shipping production Node.js in TypeScript
- Real experience with Next.js (App Router) in production
- Solid PostgreSQL, including query analysis and indexing
- Confidence with Docker and modern CI/CD (GitHub Actions or similar)
- Excellent written English and async communication
Nice to have
- Prior experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, NATS, Redis Streams)
- Comfort with tRPC / GraphQL
- Experience with edge runtimes (Vercel Edge, Cloudflare Workers)
- You have shipped in fintech, marketplaces, or B2B SaaS
